Exhaust advice, ready for a change!!!

Going Open Flash UEL catless headers and Invida Q 300. Only question is cated or uncated resonated front pipe ??? Any more or less power or torque on cated or catless front pipe? How about sound level difference ??? Anyone else have this combo ???

If I were you I'd get the JDL ultraquiet front pipe, but I'm not you. You are going to lose some power with a cat, but not so much that you will notice especially for a daily driver. Just straight pipe it if having the biggest number is important to you

A catless pipe is going to be louder than a catted pipe. A catless resonated pipe is designed to remove some of the harsher higher pitched tones that might occur. So it'll be louder than stock, but a little easier on the ears than just a catless pipe. They typically end up making the tone a little deeper.

Depends on the front pipe.

Fujitsubo front pipe is same as stock without a cat.

go catless, there will be additional volume but the added power is worth it imo. definitely spring for a resonated pipe.

I have a Top Speed EL header, HKS dual resonated front pipe, and Q-300 exhaust. No Cats. Nice and quiet until you get on it. At freeway speeds it's easy to carry on a conversation with someone next to you. A perfect compromise for me.

Considering the car is tuned, catless actually makes less torque. In the grand scheme of thing catted or catless front pipe makes very little difference in power unless you're boosted.

any evidence to support the claim that catless = less torque?
