i'm very upset about Chrome Shelled Regios. iirc, one of the writers or artists died, and they couldn't do more than one season.

I need to get around to watching the second season of SAO...

Over the weekend I watched a show called Arpeggio of Blue Steel. It was a pretty good show, though short. They actually don't answer anything about why it's happening or who anyone is, but I'm actually okay with that. The battleships were pretty cool and the battles weren't too overdone or ridiculous. If you hate tons of exposition and backstory and just want some action in a short package, it's not bad. It is on the cuter side, so if you like a lot of grit (AoT style) you probably won't like it.

Goody Synopsis of Arpeggio of Blue Steel, it was one of the underated shows from a few seasons ago. A more recent show (last season) kind of in the same position is Black Bullet.

I just finished Dennou Coil (imported the DVD)...need to watch it again to try and understand it better, but overall a very interesting and emotional show with some deep things in it...

I remember watching Dennou Coil a while back. It was a pretty interesting show, but yeah, if I remember correctly it ended up being somewhat confusing. It's been a while though.

Been watching both SAO 1 & 2 and Akame because I discovered them thru here..very good stuff. I love funny anime with cute chics and food. Any other recs of similar and really good animes? (Not into mecha/robot/space stuff though). Can't really list the ones I've already seen either..I lose count and forget lol.

@M23 if you haven't seen it ToraDora! is one of my favorite anime of all time. It's a great slice of life anime with a very good story. I would recommend it to anyone.

Yeah, Blue Steel was good. Don't forget though, it's original series and they had a limited budget, so they couldn't do a lot of things they wanted to. I still love their OP song and Silver Sky! My fav!

Dennou Coil was pretty interesting. Only issue was, they skipped few things form manga... but in general it was good.

ToraDora was a big hit while back. It's funny and it became way too serious IMO.

This season, I'm currently watching these:
Akame ga Kill
Trinity Seven
Inou-Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de
Nanatsu no Taizai
Gugure! Kokkuri-san
Cross Ange
Fate/stay night

& few other anime from last seasons
