Wheels and tires

It's cooling off and I decided to change things up for winter. 17X8 Enkei TS-5 in bronze wrapped in 225/45R-17 Continental VikingContact 7s.

Just the stock Hakone wheels. I might switch up which are summer/winter once the factory tires are worn out.

needs more bronze wheels.

with the silver wheels, it looks so cheap, you might as well give it away.

Gloss black badges

The front was miserable to take off, I wasn't expecting that.

It is perfect that car, the color green matches with the trees. Its interior is very well done.

I am holding out until spring to see if the bronze ones come back in stock. If not then it will be satin black.
What put up the fight with the front?

It was tricky getting the floss behind the badge because it is recessed. I instead masked off the area around the badge and used a thin flexible discount card to slip under the badge to get it off. There was plenty of adhesive left over and Goo Gone wasn't really helping much, so it came down to slowly rolling the adhesive off and applying generous heat.

I've debadged a few cars in the past without issue. Maybe I should have watched some videos first, or maybe I was playing life on hard mode that day.

Well the work was certainly worth it!
I keep coming back to your pictures and have pretty much convinced myself that black is the way to go and to forget the bronze ones.

I spent a decent amount of time looking at/for bronze ones and I bought these earlier in the year and never put them on because I thought I might really want bronze. For some reason getting the new wheels was what solidified the decision to go with the black ones. After one week and a handful of drives I'm still happy with the look.

My subpar camera skills. Maybe I'll get some quality photos done after I get the wing on.
