I just realized the droning that you mentioned. Are there any exhaust systems that you would recommend for around $700-$750? Thanks for your advice and help!

Someone else should be able to give you better direction than myself. I'm not too well versed when it comes to an exhaust setup.

Thanks. I've been looking around and am loving the sound of the MagnaFlow 15157. Thanks for helping me out!

Borla Catback #140496 Exhaust
I know not of this drowning sound people have! I have Borla all the way back - I have yet to run across anyone with the same set up here. I've yet to receive any complaints either, from anyone. The vast majority of people I go out with or stop by me all tell me it sounds awesome. Heck, when I first installed them in California I had a dude in a M4 give me a thumbs up.
Honestly, if you're looking into Exhausts you should probably spend more than a few days looking into it. The car, the way you build it, is something that reflects you - it is unique to you. Before I settled with Borla I spent a month comparing setups. Each person is different and if it is something you're going to invest in - spend a lot of time reviewing things before you decide on what to get. Borla 60541 X-Pipe Borla 17284 Header Borla 140496 Cat-back Exhaust That is what I have - yes it is kind of loud - it runs around 80 dbs in the car once you pass 3500 RMPS. I have no complaints on the sound though. Haven't really had anyone (with regards to peace officers) complain about it either. So... my advice is spend a lot of time reviewing things and decide on it. It does, like others have said here, also depend on what you plan on doing with your vehicle. Edit: I should probably add this. My cold start is at 1500 RPMs (vehicle is tuned) and it hits 100dbs. It can be pretty loud on the outside but like I said before no one has complained of it and all I have received are compliments. Lastly, I have driven from California to Texas with my current setup. I know not of this drone people speak of. That or I'm tone deaf to it due to prior experiences. I will throw that out there. Last edited by Zubit; 12-24-2015 at 07:39 AM. |
