There is no hks tune for 2015 FRS yet?

For the HKS Supercharger V3

I went with this option https://www.ft86speedfactory.com/ecu...l#.XttOx0VKguU

Once the tune is done you keep the Ecutek cable and license so retuning again in the future is pretty cheap.

We finally putted our vlogs together how we supercharged my GT86 with HKS GT2 kit.

Car is running for few months now, everything is fine and we already did a track day to test it properly.

So I think I've officially settled on getting the HKS GT2 kit. However, after watching various videos and such, I noticed some distinct differences/ inconsistencies. The American (and some other out of country kits) have a different mounting bracket. The American GT2 has the shiny one, while the Euro/Japanese have the black one. As well, the installation instructions differ between them.

To make it a bit easier, I'm comparing 12001-AT012 vs 12001-KT004
My assumption is the AT012 is for the V2 GT2 and KT004 is the V3 GT2. After reading the installation manuals for both, there are a few small, but distinct differences. The American version requires cutting of the timing chain cover where the dipstick bolt goes, and something about trimming a fan shroud. While AT012 does not require those.

It may be petty, but I'd really rather not make such a modification. The other stuff I don't mind as it's easily replaceable. Any information is much appreciated. THANKS!

*edit* while writing this I read that the V2 vs V3 is piping diameter. Would running a V2 here really affect performance on American 93 octane?

Hi,
my supercharger just failed. How did you solve the repair / modification of the unit? Unfortunately, I didn't read it anywhere in the thread.

My V3 HKS supercharger with the plug and play option shows up tomorrow. And it's already discontinued. Ouch. Is that the pre-tune option doing that? I see it available elsewhere w/o the flash kit.

86speed order.

@tomm.brz

Impressive results!

Which brand of octane booster did you run/use?

Been contemplating on stocking up on some booster for those rare occasions where 100RON is not available.

Thanks

do it!
also if you get 100 ron, it s good too to put a bit of octane booster, specially if you have stock compression and unrrstricted v2

we use something made in italy, it s called Magigas AK5+ very expensive but already at 1‰ concentration it gives results
