Use that as your defense in court. "Your honor, I only sold crack to kids in the schoolyard so I could afford a supercharger".

Idk which I want to go with honestly I feel like the supercharger will have extra power all over vs having that little slingshot effect in a smaller portion of the band. The supercharger would be more effective but the turbo is probably more fun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Show me your oil coolers
Looking for pictures of where you mounted your oil coolers with the HKS kit, and if you had any issues with radiator getting enough air to keep things cool???
Thanks in advance ET |

I will comment here. Kyle and I met last year when we both had broken superchargers, and he had someone machine a custom part to fix his. I received a warranty replacement for my unit that has run without issue so far.
I think they did iron out the separating annulus issue that occurred with a number of units. Incidentally there are occasional issues with the Rotrex units as well, apparently some related to the impeller shaft breaking. Don't over rev the unit, make sure the traction fluid is the correct viscosity (the traction fluid comes in a cold and hot temp formula). If you drive in the winter you should probably use the thinner stuff, but personally I wouldn't want to be forced to drive a boosted twin in the snow. I think the HKS and Jackson Racing superchargers are both good units. In fact had there not been a batch of faulty units, I like the HKS package better than Jackson Racing overall. My only gripe now is the $265. US$ + shipping and tax for 800 ml of traction fluid. That's once every 3 years or so for me but when Jackson is $99 a bottle it makes you wonder why nobody substitutes (please report here after you do since I am almost positive it will work just fine). I am afraid to take the risk, but there are bound to be people online who have tried, moreover there are people with technical knowledge that could provide a much more educated guess.

I'm curious if the GT2 fixed these issues or not. I've been considering this kit for a bit.

My next question and concern is that most people recommend a supercharger > turbocharger with our platform. They say it’s much more reliable. So why do you feel like the turbocharger is the safest route? I know personal experiences differ. However to be fair, turbos push more power over supercharger. But that also means more stress on internals. So are you saying that hks built a shitty supercharger or are you saying in your opinion that a turbocharger would be more reliable than a supercharger on our platform?
