Level is very difficult to see in the dipstick , but it should be at the line ... should I remove it a bit?

Well... I drift... so a lot of slinging around going on lol I was filled to where I needed to be. I have re-tightened and have an event coming up and see how it goes. I will say I noticed my rubber o-ring around the cap is starting to get "looser"...

Side comment: I am going to keep bringing up the oil topic in this thread until someone comes up with something Some of us drive this kit a little harder than most and as much as I spend on tires and track time & tires, $300 bottle just isn't going to cut it. If I try the Rotrex fluid I will DEFINITELY comment in here and let everyone know. Slightly pisses me off that they can't even tell you the oil viscosity of the HKS fluid... Great product other than that.

when reading the install guide to the hks v3 system, it states to only use an oil grade higher then viscosity 40. how come? the cars normally uses ow20 so going to a 0w40 or 5w40 seems extreme? what are you guys running? what would happen if you stayed at 0w20?

I personally run Castrol 5w-30. It’s crazy to think that the factory recommends 0w-20... like water lol

Obviously the supercharger doesn’t use the oil of the engine, unfortunately, but your running your engine a little harder with the kit which is why I would assume they ask you to upgrade. (Just like the manual)

I run 0W20 without issues. Since my oil cooler has been disconnected, my observation is that the higher viscosity oil heats up more and quicker. Simple physics.

i run 0w40 purely because of the hks instructions asking for w40 oil
would be glad to go back to 0w30
Do you ever use 0w20, since how many miles? did you track it with it

hey guys, serious question, about 8 months back, my V2 SC (GTS7040L) stopped working, i opened it up and found the round cap holding the planetary gears, the screw threads were stripped.

i made an exact CNC'ed an exact copy of the cap and it was working fine for the last 8 months, now it broke again.

i am thinking to getting the new GT2-7040L and replace the GTS-7040L, just wondering if its a straight swap on the V2 kit.

anyone have any idea?
