You gotta be happy with that ! Those differential bushes are a royal pain to install. I helped a friend replace his a couple of weekends ago and it took about 6 hours. Mind you, his subframe was still bolted to his car, and his press wouldn't fit . They are an extremely tight fit.

Keen to hear your opinions on the differences between the 2 subframes with regard to strength as well when you get them side by side.

I am so pleased to see you're build in its final stages. I will also be joining the GT wing gang in the next week or two. Subaru Australia must have been unable to sell any of the ones they imported a while ago . They were asking $6000AUD for them. They listed one on ebay Australia a couple of days ago for $2200AUD brand new, which is also nearly half the price it would cost me to buy from Japanparts. I felt that if I didn't buy it now I will never see it at that price again lol.

What are we to do when we run out of Sti parts ???

Thanks! Car's going into my friend's shop tomorrow to officially start on the tear down and replacement. I'll let you know if there are any differences in terms of design or weight. Right now from the looks of it, it may just be the standard subframe but with the STi rear subframe bushings and diff mount pre-installed. That kinda sucks if that's the case cause I already bought them but it does save some hassle of not having to press the mounts in and out. Otherwise, we'll also be installing the STi transmission and engine mounts. Up next is doing a replica red lip like the tS and then the gauge cluster. Final stretch!

As far as running out of parts, I have a Golf R to work on next haha

Seems like they are gonna launch the Levorg STI this summer. Not sure if it'll be a tS or standard Subaru model as they have both Fuji Heavy and STI people in the video. If it's going to be a standard model that could only mean a BRZ STI is really coming.

Progress. Subframe still requires the the rear subframe bushings to be pressed in (the sti ones are not included like the diff). So here's my car torn apart.

Added the transmission mount to the planned engine mounts

My short Review about the Extension Covers :

I call them Extension FuXXcker´s now
They really made my Day

Wether i take the Foglight Covers or the Covers without Foglights

They will never fit

So i made my them Custom Finish with a little file
i rasp every slot between the Fins

So it takes 3 Hours to do so

But there was no other way for me to get them fairly on

i think STI Company take one Car for Fitting the Covers
and then produce them in that one Fitting Size.

But every Daylight Cover and every Bumper is Unique
Although there are only a few milimeter difference

The fitting is done for

That's exactly what they do. That's just tolerancing when developing the manufacturing process. There's no other way to do it (and there's no way they'd "custom" make each one).

And as shown before, this is the only cover that the dayliners were designed to fit. If your cover was not this one, then the misfit was expected.

This is true. When I installed them on my base BRZ, it took only a few minutes.
Got them to line up 99%-100% with the fins. Also, I didn't bother removing the bumper/covers or even using the black stickers to hide gaps. So far I don't notice any silver so fitment seems pretty great.

So if I understand correctly, if you get: https://www.japanparts.com/parts/detail/45772
it includes this? https://www.japanparts.com/parts/detail/43132

Does it include the subframe bushings?

I mentioned this many months ago, but no one wanted to listen.

These parts are designed mainly for the day lights.

I think everybody listened all except for one person. The rice tendency is strong on this one.
