Oil Pressure Sender Unit Fitment Question

I am contemplating fitting a T piece/3 way junction between the the male fitting on the filter plate and the female fitting on the hose so I can mount a sender unit in the oil line to (or from) the cooler. That is, between the the parts indicated by the arrows. Do you think that the T piece would handle the vibration from the engine and the torque the hose would place on it?

Is there a reason why you would not use the port on the block for it instead?

I dont see how you would get an accurate reading from the send or return lines when thermostat is not fully open?

There is insufficient room to use the port on the block. I am hypothesising that the thermostat would only have to be fractionally open before you would get a pressure reading. That is, one is reading pressure not flow. Even so, I am not concerned with oil pressure readings before the engine has reached operating temperature.
