Hey John sorry if I missed it in one of your threads but can / will you be able to add new outputs to the stock lcd? Ie. where you see odometer, MPG etc... new outputs that you can cycle through?
So instead of having to mount a new display you could just dump E % to there. Ps loving your work.

Curious of how much the cold start would be helped with a better battery. That test I did this weekend the engine barely wanted to turn over.
Looking forward to hearing more about the ethanol sensor. Curious how and where it hooks up. Of course price and pics would be cool too. Sent from my flux capacitor using Taptalk |

I see some similar sensors by seimens on ebay for 120. Hopefully this is the price range they are in. Hopefully there is a group buy soon.

The sensor reads ethanol and not octane, right? Would it increase timing and such if it detected E10 vs E0? Using Shell as an example, their lower octane gas has ethanol, while their 91 has none. Would the sensor make the car run worse on the higher octane gas in this scenario?

The best part is if your NA you only really need like 30% ethanol to get the benefits of the timing ect of the high octane. That means better gas mileage.

I am seriously intrigued by this, I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess you we're tuning Kochinopride's FR-S at Prime Motoring...so this is really exciting for me because I have the same turbo setup arriving in January, so I might have to pick your brain to ensure i have all the supporting mods required to run this flex fuel tune on mine. I'll PM you after the holidays so that i can throw money at you to make my car even more amazing!

I was considering the proposal you made yesterday about the flexfuel kit. I'll probably have my turbo (Full Blown Stage 1) by February. Would this kit basically make it so that the mapping would adapt to 93oct to e85? Would it have an effect on boost levels on the fly? Flexfuel w/ FI just seems so complicated to me. PM or text me about the details if you need a tester or anything.
