I read several years ago that Subaru and Toyota had a difference of opinion about how tail happy the car should be. Toyota wanted something easy to kick out, Subaru wanted a more adult sports car experience.

I replaced my stock Primacy summer tires with AS3+ after a flat recently. I couldn't justify buying a summer tire for a car I drive during DC winters and they were recommended as the best all season tires for a sports car. They're really good at sticking to the road during high speed cornering and I can't find any fault with the tires.

They're also really boring at low speed. Old tires would get a little tail happy during low speed cornering and the car would feel lively. I haven't yet found the point at which the new ones break traction, but I'm guessing it's fast enough that a cop would charge me with reckless. I think they're a faster tire, but they feel slower.

Next time I'll ask for a less sticky tire.

With the model refresh (+'17) Toyota and Subaru cars have similar suspension settings. The differentiation was in the earlier models.

Set rear toe to 0, it makes a significant difference in making the car feel more lively at both turn in and mid corner. I'd also increase front neg camber (camber bolts don't give much but are super cheap) - this gives grip to the front, specially mid corner.
