I suggest you clean up the area and drive the car for a while just to confirm that the dipstick is leaking, and not somewhere else.

If it is the dipstick leaking, I understand it can be removed and the rubber "O" ring replaced.

My dipstick and tube were replaced during the recall. I noticed when I checked the oil that "this isn't my dipstick". I know because I sanded mine so I could read it. And this one is brand new smooth (unreadable). I don't know, maybe it isn't my engine! I guess they must have broken it doing the recall. But mine doesn't have an o ring, it's glued in with some kind of blue sealant. But at least it doesn't leak.

The more I read on this forum, the less likely I am to take my car in for the recall work. -

After my FR-S' Engine Spring Valve recall service on 1/31/19 (in New Jersey), I noticed (next day) the dipstick was broken at the tip (lost about half inch at the tip) and the dipstick could be inserted all the way in. So I went back to the dealer, they replaced the dipstick and tube. But now there is also similar engine oil leakage, not pouring, just slow leakage and I can smell the oil burning when driving and oil/dirt buildup below the dipstick tube. I'm going back to the dealer again tomorrow morning. Hopefully it's only the dipstick tube o-ring issue and not something big. What a frustrating experience!

I got my 2013 brz serviced for valve spring recall back in August this year and the oil burning smell was becoming more of frequent occurrence with occasional white smokes coming out of hood so I have been checking for a while.

It looks like I have an oil leak right by the bottom of oil dip stick tube.

Dealer put a new one when I got the recall work done as the original one was corroded.

Will check with dealer tomorrow so they can deal with this..

This is a long shot but I'm having a go... Are you related or know the geezer who wanted to move his dipstick tube so that his header didn't clash?
