Under magnification, yeah I have issues, it looks more like rust than bug but next week I'll back into my spot and see what happens. For me it's only 2 very small spots on the bumper. Really not a huge issue, I'm more curious than anything.

I have the same issue with my Whiteout FRS. I have this yellow spot on the front bumper just above the grill that I am unable to buff out with wax after repeated washings. Weird. I'm also parked out in the sun for about 8 hrs a day in the Texas sun. I am also curious as to where this stain came from and how to remove!

I too am getting these stains on my whiteout frs. It even leaves a yellow bump as if someone tried to touch up a rock chip, but it's with this yellow tar. Any solutions? The leave your car out in the sun solution worked on the smoother spots

If it is rail dust or other industrial fallout then claying is the first step. When that fails then a decon product is required. Iron-x and other brands mentioned on this forum will all do the job. The problem relying on clay is that clay shears off the above surface portion of the contaminate leaving the below surface part to re-appear.

I bought the Iron X on amazonian...I'll report back.

from the comments I think using a hairdryer on low might work. It seems like it's tar like in feel and the heat might loosing it up. Tried my tar and bug remover and it didn't work.

I have it too on my white brz. Can't get rid of it, but haven't tried clay or iron x yet. It feels like it's under the paint though since it's silky smooth.

Let us know how that goes. My guess actually is the sun trick works not so much because of the heat but rather because UV rays break stuff down.

If you are able to get the car clean, then keeping it well waxed helps a lot against all manner of crud because stuff adheres less in the first place and what does stick is on/in the wax and not the paint.

I just picked up my whiteout last week. It had a few yellow spots on the rear bumper also. It definitely wasn't rail dust. Clay bar took it right off. The dealer never touched it before I took delivery. Smartest thing I ever did. No polishing needed as the paint was perfect with no marring.

Has anyone tried exposing the spots to UV lights?

Weirdest stain I've ever encountered.
How long did you leave it in the sun for? After washing off the pollen, it left the same yellow stains Left it in the sun for good 2-3 hours and for the most part, it's still there. Not sure if it became lighter or not. Guessing its a gradual thing ?

If getting the car to you involved it being transported on a train it is very likely rail rust. The fine particles of dust caused by the brakes on a train will get on any and all cars transported on an open rail road car. It's just that it's not noticeable on most cars but very noticeable on white cars after the dust has been exposed to the elements and turns to rust. Dealerships are very knowledgeable of this and have a chemical wash they can use to remove it. The wash does not harm the paint of any exposed parts.
