Upgraded Oil Pan Development - Formula Delta

Hi folks!

As some of you may know, my buddy and I made a video regarding the real issue on the FA24 and its lubrication problems specifically on right hand turns.

We've got a prototype pan in testing right now and are almost production ready. New video coming soon but long story short, we'd like to gauge interest in the crowd as to who would put their money where their mouth is to actually put a deposit down on a pan should we choose to deploy production to mass manufacture it.

Depending on numbers, the initial production run of pans is likely going to cost $750 USD OR LESS depending on how many people put money down. Knowing this, are you going to do so?

Why buy this pan:

Mitigates observed oil starvation:
Provides an additional 1.5-1.7L of extra oil (on top of factory fill volume)
Has vertical baffling with traps near oil pickup ensures what oil is in the pan remains near pickup tube

Direct OEM fitment:
Retains all OEM headers, heat shielding and skid plates
No added mechanical complexity or parasitic losses

Track proven:
Data from four race tracks (CTMP DDT & GP, SMP, TMP) with one being one of the fastest tracks in North America (CTMP Grand Prix track) at 118mph / 190 kmh entry speeds on a sustained right turn using the test 2022 Subaru BRZ

By the people for the people:
All of us who helped develop this pan own the car (and have blown an engine due to the issue) and track it hard across various tracks. We love the car and want to put this issue to bed for everyone. We just happen to be engineering problem solvers as well.

I'm surprised someone didn't go down this route sooner. We saw good results from overfills, so increasing the oil capacity down below seems like a logical better fix.

I know you can't really post pics with this being the first one available, but I'd be interested in what it looks like to accommodate the extra capacity with the headers being right there.

Pics will be coming for sure, this poll was just to determine whether we even want to go down the path to spend five digits to get production runs or just 3D print 3 for our own use and call it a day. Appreciate the feedback!

Put in a vote for yes, but caveat is would depend on the data, effectiveness, design and build quality. Looking forward to seeing more, thanks for sharing.

I think partnering up with a header manufacturer whose headers give most clearance and then developing a pan would be a good idea. That way pan shape would be focused on oil flow than where space is available. With OEM compatibility you would be competing with verus. If you do something like iag set for FA24 which includes different pick up, baffle would be a good addition too.

Partnering up with a header company bottlenecks the audience to just that header customer base and doesn't solve the problem for the wider audience.

And doesn't matter what Verus does. Once we release data and features, we believe we have a rightful place in the market.

I'd like to see some pictures of what it looks like, but if you release concrete evidence of it reducing/eliminating the pressure drop you'd 100% have a customer here. Once the evidence is released I would be open to placing a partial deposit to help with the initial run up costs. All three of the tracks I frequent most in the north east have extended right handers LOL..
