Budget friendly track wheels not named RPF1
I have $2K for a wheel and tire combo for track use only. I’d like a set of RE-71RS tires which leaves me with just about $1K for wheels.
I do not like RPF1s, but would like something with similar weight and strength. Was looking at some Apex wheels but they’re impossible to find. What other options are there in the same class in terms of performance, weight, and price as the RPF1s? Basically, I could use something in the $250-300 per wheel range. I know, I’d love to spend $3K on wheels, but I just don’t have it right now. |

Look into Konig's flow formed wheels. Seems to fit your criteria and budget.

That what I was thinking. I had a set of Konig Dial-ins in my Miata and never had issues. I’m looking at a set of Konig Ampliform. They’re just over 2lbs heavier than the RPF1s which isn’t ideal but isn’t terrible. Wondering if anyone has any experience with them. |

Size? If I ever wanted an 8 or 7 I’d probably be shopping for Motegi traklites, they seem to be low on 5x100 at the moment though. Kosei K1, 949 6ul and aforementioned konigs fit the bill. Tire racks in house brand skews heavier but is affordable and I think a little more durable then the ultralight stuff, they’d be my first stop for checking out what’s light and in size/budget.
Worth noting, cheap and light will mean they’re not invincible, minor trade off imho as you can still go years without issue. |

I have good experiences with 6ULs, but kind of want to see what else I could consider. I’ll look at the Traklites and Kosei K1. Thanks! |

currently running superspeed rf06rr and they are light
I've also had good luck with motegi tracklites on a golf and I've run konig flow formed wheels on a few cars sans issue.

That’s why I asked, pretty sure neither offer 17x9 with 5x100 and the right offset. No TR Motorsport wheels either, just enkei ts-5 on tirerack and maybe some konigs.

A little higher than your budget at $400 each, but I'm running Enkei GTC02's which are pretty lightweight.
