They don't want the old parts. The car is a one off for the buyer but one of several for the dealer so they just don't care.

I still haven't seen a price for these wheels. The appeal over any other aftermarket wheels is evaporating if I'm still stuck with the old wheels and get charged labor for the swap.

I like those wheels a lot, so I subscribed. Little smallish for what I was dreaming on 17x9, but OEM quality, good color, a bit wider stance than stock and lighter to boot. Thanks for sharing.

Never had that happen to me either but doesn't hurt to ask: I've heard of weird deal experiences (pro-buyer) just because a car salesman was behind his quota.

The "only" way I can think of having a similar "exchange" happen is to purchase a special edition. Then again, the Dealer doesn't have to stock the base OEM stuff. That, or special order cars like other brands may still do.

Every new car I've bought (Subaru, Ford, Mazda) was special ordered. The Toyota system is a bit...different. i placed an "order" in November as soon as the dealer had pricing and would take it. They didn't ask for any money (always paid $2000 in the past). I asked that the car be ready May 20. Still no car and little hope I'll get it this summer. Probably getting a used M2 instead.

Yeah they do.

An example.

Thanks for the response. That's too bad, but might still be worth buying for daily use on a BRZ.

I _think_ they only do them for manufacturers and organisations (like motorsports series and events) as far as I know, so unless Subaru or Toyota does a deal, or some other manufacturer does a deal with on a car with a 5x100 bolt pattern you wont be able to fit them.

Not that I have checked them to see if there is one that fits already.

It looks like they changed the bore for the center cap on the bronze version. The gunmetal TRDs, like the ones I have, use a larger center cap. The caps for the bronze ones may be the same size as the standard Toyota and Subaru center caps.

Toyota's US website just updated to 2023 MY for the GR86, and more accessories are listed, including $1850 USD 17" Bronze forged wheels that look different than what has been shown above, but they are the same as seen in the accessories brochure in the OP. (These are not on the Canadian site even though it now lists the 2023s.)

The black-tipped GR exhaust is also up on the site (US only).
