Childseat, Test Drive, Crash

I preordered a car back in Jan, and our city received one floating tester car (manual ultramarine, same as what I ordered).

Test drive scheduled yesterday, arrived with my kids and seat.

Seat is a sunshine kids front facer, big, but narrow - one of the few Canada legal seats that fit in a 911. USA has a recaro unit that also works, but not certifited up here.

I am 5'7" with a 29.5 inch inseam. I had to move 1 click up where I would be on a long highway trip. I was comfortable for driving in the city. She loved the ride and did not complain at all during the test drive.

The guys that took out the car after me, drifted into a corner and broke the front suspension as well as banging the rear wheel. So now no other test drives at any of our dealers for 2-3 weeks while another car is brought in.

Not a good taste of insurance claims to come. YOU ARE NOT INITIAL D on a test drive!

I will be heading over to see the crashed car this weekend and will post some pictures for you to weep over.

2-3 weeks for another unit. South Pointe is getting 2 automatics to sell at the end of May but will probably end up being a test drive mule. My car (2nd in line) should arrive 1st or 2nd week of June.

They are going to fix the blue manual, but it's going to take a week at least for parts. Both front and rear end got damaged.

Heh, nice kids although the younger looks a bit derpy, ATM.

Frieking people. Don't drift during a test drive! It's not your personal drift machine!

For his already bruised ego's sake I hope not.

Good to see how the front-facing seat fits but it makes me pretty confident that a rear-facer isn't going to be a pretty job.

Was it a pre-production model that would have most likely been scrapped anyway?

Doesn't make it any better, but at least it wouldn't have been a model sold later.

I'm fairly certain there were 2 other crashes, and a rumored third. The rain drift crash, I saw photos of a pre production crash in jan and the third someone mentioned one of the red cars that was going to showrooms got dinged.
