About dongle...ask for Torque Pro compliance, if positive maybe a good bargain this one!
T7019A Specs:
Main CPU:MST786 A9 dual core 1Ghz
RAM Memory DR3 1G
iNand Memory:8GB

IMHO the 7019A is a best buy.
Yeah I think I'm leaning more towards the T7019A because it seems like the better buy, but will be curious to see what kind of response I get from trade solution

This is the email I got back:

"hi

the light ing is green or amber

obd now cannot add as option sorry
yes can use elm327
support all apps

I will suggest you buy ther model in the link below

http://www.tradesolution.hk/e/ptxweb...duct/1274.html

http://www.tradesolution.hk/e/ptxweb...duct/1707.html

this two mdoel is better"

The 2nd link he suggested is a unit I previously found (T6229A), it comes with the orange/amber led's, I am just double checking with him to confirm that an ELM327 will work with this unit, if that's the case, I might just pull the trigger on this one since it has the amber led's!

Edit:And just received confirmation, ELM327 is supposed to work with T6229A! @Trap63 (mentioned you again since you already since my original post xD)

His email originally was in regards to the T2043A unit, but then he suggested the T7019A and the T6229A, I believe he was more or less saying that the LED's in the T2043A were either Amber or green and that he was uncertain which color they are. BUT, the T6229A has similar specs to the new T7019A, and I have had previous confirmation from them a couple months back that the T6229A used amber/orange led's.

Just do it! Pull the trigger and report back.

If it has amber LEDs, is Toyota fit, works with ELM327 and works with "all apps" then could be perfect.

Only downside may be the ELM327 might need to be the USB version as it may still be locked down to only use Bluetooth for the phone. If Bluetooth is locked then it'd need rooting to use the HKS OB-LINK or Bluetooth ELM327.

Still if torque works with a USB ELM327 you may not need the Bluetooth for anything but phone.

@mkivsoopra was able to use a USB ELM327 on his out of the box, I am under the impression it would be the same situation for this unit? Otherwise I'm not sure if there is a root available for it yet?

Also, I have a little test to perform before pulling the trigger first.. I currently have the P3Cars vent gauge, I heard somewhere that if using an OBD splitter you can only still use 1 obd device at a time, if that's the case, I probably won't get the unit as I think the gauge is a little more reliable, and I will have an analog boost hooked up to it as well, so I definitely see it as P3Cars > Torque.

That being said, I tried to test today but with bad luck.. I believe my BT ELM327 is fried, haven't used it in a while and when attempting to use it today, I couldn't find it to pair to on my Nexus 7, therefore I couldn't test the splitter theory..

I also have a USB ELM327 but couldn't succeed at using that one either, my Nexus 7 is rooted, I have it plugged in to the OTG cable and OBD port but I can't seem to find it in the list when I go to connect to a usb adapter in Torque... Not sure if it's because the ELM327 isn't compatible with the Nexus 7 or due to a defective USB ELM327..

Just ordered a new BT ELM327, once I receive it, I will be testing to see if I can use a splitter to use the torque app with a BT ELM327 and use my P3Cars gauge at the same time..

Although I may just get the unit anyways as an upgrade to stock, but I think if I can't really use torque I may be better off buying a normal 2Din like Pioneer or Kenwood since they are a little smoother than an Android unit.
