@Trap63 I thought you wanted it in WRB? I know I'm colourblind, but I'm pretty sure these are still all red. I'll see what I can do about changing the colour for you. Unfortunately the app I wrote to do this is at work, so I won't be able to do anything for the next 12 hours. [Edit - wait. are you saying the colours aren't the same? That may be a problem with my app swapping the red an blue channels. I wouldn't have noticed it with my grey 86 logo. Let me fix this up at work tomorrow]

@nzer Don't worry too much about the size - making sure the image is simple (ie not a photo), and will look good surrounded in black is probably more important. I'll be able to resize it for you. Ideally find a TRD logo you'd want that is already on a black background.

Oh, and do I take it the TomTom installed ok?

Car is in the dealer getting a new aerial wire run from head unit to antenna as wire seems to have broken or fallen off so can't test the fix for the cache yet dammit. Keen to try though thanks.

No rest for you though - get RaceChrono going. Hop to it!

I'll get a TRD logo - most have a white background but will look for one with black. Can't wait to have it booting up with that image.

Ok, try these. I've zipped them all up into a single collection.
  • Toyota 86 logo
  • Subaru STI (red)
  • TRD (white)
  • TRD (white w/ shadow)
  • TRD (red)
  • TRD (Sport)

Simply extract the files onto the root directory of a USB stick and select the logo you want from the hidden Logo menu.
Attached Files
File Type: zip logos.zip (62.7 KB, 161 views)

Subject: Color feature T7019A Toyota

Hi, we discover that before proceeding to “rooted” android the unit has under “memory menu” :”
I quickly rooted the device as per the instructions at the start of this thread. However, I noticed an option to change the LED settings/colours before the process, and it seems to have disappeared after rooting. (From memory, the options were 'Mono', 'Color 1' and 'Color 2')”

Discussion here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...&postcount=873

How can we restore this feature? The unit so it seems have more color option!

Thanks

Thanks @GreenPants

Got the stock unit back in at the moment as dealer fixed radio reception today. Traced to a broken wire in the 86 aerial plug that goes in the back on the unit.

Leaving T7019A in there so that @Tech can change the green LEDs to reddy orange for me like the rest of the dash..

Spent the night trawling through this thread (120 pages!), which is where some of the info for this thread comes from.
  • They are still struggling with the lack of Google API support (affects RaceChrono & Tasker) and haven't come up with a solution yet. What I believe needs to happen is for us to some how get GApps installed - this is how the CyanogenMod group fix things up for their custom firmwares. Still trying to figure out if that square peg will fit in our round hole. The Cm group install it using a recovery mode, which I don't think exists on our units.
  • One person attempted to replace the LEDs on their unit but found that they were embedded into/part of the keys - here's hoping the T7019a fares better.
  • They haven't figured out how to do boot logos yet (I should drop them a line at some stage) however they have figured out a way to customize the boot animation (post #835).
