Okay, I'm just going to summarize all my issues since I'm betting I'm not the only one...

1) Format a 32gb sd card as FAT32, put only the rom files from the original post on it, insert it, hold volume plus menu and it does do the update, over and over again, it just updates, reboots, updates, reboots, updates, etc. Is this normal? I have to pop the sd card out to get it to boot?

2) Can't calibrate touch screen, it goes to the black screen with the cross you're supposed to touch, no matter what I do it won't register that I'm touching it (touch screen works fine though)

3) MCU update goes fine but when it reboots it tries to reload the rom and I have to do it all over again. Have to pop the SD card out as soon as it shuts down.

4) Wifi works great on the front port (haven't tried the back yet)

5) Plugged bluetooth adapter in, load the quick bluetooth lite app, everytime i hit turn bluetooth on it flickers and unchecks the box. I'm assuming this means I have an unsupported device?

6) App store keeps giving Insufficient space error OR 942 error for ~50% of apps, though I can probably load the apk directly so this isn't a huge issue.

7) Trying to get my HSPA working, took the sim card out of my phone (Telus) and entered all the APN info, won't find the signal so still playing with that.

I love the unit so far, just need to work on figuring out some minor issues and tweaks to make it 100%

Seems very very odd. Maybe try a smaller ad card? Also are the files directly on the sd card or in a folder? If in a folder remove the files from the folder.

3) MCU update goes fine but when it reboots it tries to reload the rom and I have to do it all over again. Have to pop the SD card out as soon as it shuts down.

See 1?

Make sure u use a good hub!

Has to be plugged in while the unit is off and then if the adaptor is compatible it will work here. If not it will flicker on and off.

7) Trying to get my HSPA working, took the sim card out of my phone (Telus) and entered all the APN info, won't find the signal so still playing with that.

The included modem is only for the 2100mhz spectrum, that could be your issue? (Looks like telus runs on 800 and 1900mhz)

Can anyone confirm how to get to the manufacturers setting page? I totally can't find this section in my head unit!

Here's another question for the Android gurus.

I've loaded google maps but every time i go in it says login failed. Can't actually see where I can login to my google account other than in the browser. I'm logged in there in google but still get the login failed in the google maps app.

I've looked at the menu options in there and no luck.

@Ghostmerlott, out of interest would you be able to take some photos of the bundle of the Tun21A? Just so that I know what I'm up for with the installation.
SELECTING A SUBARU STARTUP LOGO FOR THE BRZ ON T7019A

Just found on the T7019A you can change the startup logo to a variety of logos including SUBARU!

Settings, General Settings, Extra Settings, type in 123456.

Bottom option is logo. Select what logo you want and save it. Comes with many of the major manufacturers incl Subaru, Toyota, VW...

Startup logo is now what you want - eg: Subaru for you BRZ owners or Toyota for the 86 or FRS owners. Didn't look to see it there was a Scion logo.

If you see in HU memory (internal) you will find all Sygis contents over more than 1,5 Gb (all world). I free the Oceania, Usa and Latin America maps to gain space.

@Trap63 where did you find the Sygic maps you didn't need to delete. I've looked through file manager and can't find a Sygic directory. Can you point me in the right direction please?

I'm very interested in this but I suck at electronics. Is there a detailed DIY? Or is this plug and play?

I found the menu but can't take credit for the 123456 bit.

Got that from post 788 above from @Trap63
