Car's sitting on jack stands while waiting for new wheels.

Is that safe? Thanks. Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

it's fine.

Just make sure it's on a concrete surface or the stands may gouge the asphalt or soft surface.

If it's completely up on jack stands it might be tough to go for a drive

Yes, but you'd be surprised what forgetting something can ruin for you.

Make sure it is level and on concrete. I left a car on jack stands overnight on asphalt on a slight incline. In the morning, it fell off and one of the jack stands punched through the gas tank spilling gasoline all over the place. Not one of my best moments...

I just got back from a 6 month deployment and my car was on stands all around on a concrete floored storage unit, had zero issues. Just make sure it's level on all the stands and the stands are on the specified jack points.
