awesome.
in Aus these are the legal methods to check an exhaust dB http://www.ntc.gov.au/filemedia/Repo...stSept2006.pdf
or simpler directions: http://www.ehow.com/how_6150114_meas...ust-noise.html
but in summary, 500mm away from an exhaust at an angle of 45 degrees.
with revs at 4000rpm (for our car), and 3 tests results all within 1dB difference for it to be counted as an accurate result. hope that makes sense.

cheers

Was just about to say Sony put up vids of both versions. I think he can answer your questions too. :happy0180:

I'll see what I can do...I'm not gonna go find a completely empty parking lot for sound testing purposes around here. I can however get you a decent baseline for reference. Give me a week or two.

Just wanted to say thanks to Sony for all the effort he puts in.

Also, if one were to go Front and Over as well as the Catback, would the resonated be a better choice so it isn't too loud?

If you get headers too, would resonated be a better choice?

Resonated is what we recommend if you plan on going with a header, or with a catless front pipe.

If you're going to be doing a catted front pipe and non resonated, it will be a little loud, but totally fine for most people.

yes.... now the question is, when're you guys coming out with a header?!
I saw you were posting testing results using the header but haven't heard anything about a release or price point *hint hint nudge nudge*

Although when I called, I think John (if I recall correctly) mentioned it was in development.

We did make one prototype header, but right now we aren't planning on releasing it, sorry! Maybe at another time though.

Why does no one want to release headers?

Only reasonable answer is that it probably made little to no power.

just listened to the videos that @Sonyposted. (Great work and thanks for the help btw)

is it just me or does the non-resonated sound more... unrestricted. like it just screams!!! *and i like it. but the resonated to me sounds great as well, but more of a refined stock with a grumble.(in a good way)

Perrin has a great exhaust btw I WANT (as soon as i have money haha...)

i listened to the sound clips and i agree that non resonated sounds more free flowing while the resonated makes the note more deep but slightly artificial. i think if the note is not too loud under 4000rpm, i would pick the non resonated.
