I'm getting an odd noise during the torque dip from 3200-4000 RPM with Visonti's STG1 tune, is this normal? Even in 1st gear, the loss of power is crazy, it's like the car is limping.

Not too bad. I've got the non-resonated catted headerback now, and now that I've gone FI, I'm curious as to how the car would be with the resonated pipe. I'll have to find someone local that I can check their car out.

So, no reliable info on the weight? Anyone?

IIRC the Perrin CBE is 7-8 lbs. Lighter than stock.

Finally received and weighted my non-resonated Perrin catback: 13.3 kg = ~29.3 lbs - fully matches DSport's data which says this version weights 29.2 lbs. The muffler is 8.4 kg and the 2 pipes are 4.9 kg.

I wonder why Perrin on their web site says it is 39.5 lbs w/o distinguising resonated and non-resonanted versions... Makes it look heavy while in fact it is one of the lightest!

Where did you buy the catback? Direct from perrin or somewhere else? I love the exhaust btw and am planning on buying it. Do you have any regrets?

I am in algonquin area if you want to check it out. Its one of those aftermarket parts that are excellent from documentation and quality. I rarely endorse something but this exhaust is very good.

I have the 2.5" Don't see the need for the 3.0" honestly at this point.
Your best clubs local are TSSCC and Windy City Miata. They both run very close by 30 minute drive. TSSCC has an event this Sunday as well.

If you want to hook up PM me.

I Just had mine fitted today (2.5" resonated catback). I must say it is amazing. I got it fitted at a place that specialises in exhausts, and they had nothing but praise, for both its sound and build quality. It is the perfect volume for me. I would not want it any louder. you know it is there, even with the windows up.

can this exhaust (or exhausts in general) be installed by one person? if not, what would be the limiting factor doing it solo?
