This is very exciting news! I am 1st on my local deal's list for the base model car (there are 3 ahead for premium). Really hoping to pick up their base Neptune GR86 or possible Trueno Blue. Does anybody recall, was Neptune a rare color to come by?

This is amazing! I was expecting Toyota to swing the "its a Toyota therefore we charge more" mentality but they didn't! Worst case scenario, I had budgeted for $35k CAD so here's hoping for a pleasant surprise from Toyota Canada!

I personally don't think i would have paid any more or less if i waited (i went first gen because i thought it might be cheaper, and with the discounted pricing i got i think it would be roughly the same) But i dont think i miss much either, especially since i dont really find the first gen lacking. The biggest thing i dont get is the powertrain upgrade. The added safety tech i dont care too much about, and the new interior/exterior design isnt actually anything that would sway me one way or other other (although i find the first gen has a bit more character in its design, where the second gen is a bit more generic, but refined). The rest i already have (i have apple carplay/android auto, all the interior suade/alcantara/leather bits, and dual hvac) |

It appears to be the same wheel they've been selling for about 5 years as a TRD accessory, only now with a bronze finish instead of gunmetal or hyper black. I have to admit the bronze would look better on my Hakone.

Based on past experience, will this be installed at the factory, port or dealer?
For some extra growl, there’s a dual cat-back GR performance exhaust with stainless steel bent pipes, black chrome tips and debossed GR logo. |

Well, $2k more for the GR86 compared to the BRZ up here.
Looks like I'll be driving a BRZ next year. |

It became a standard colour for at least North America but it was near the end IIRC 2019 model year so it had the least time of the normal colours to find buyers during the car's lowest volume years, so its rare by default but I guess not rare enough to not include it for Gen 2. I personally haven't seen one in the wild even though I'm in a city where I can find a twin pretty often.

Also, this isn't official and TOTALLY my view, Toyota is totally expecting everyone to track the car and from my understanding they're likely to carry out warranty work to your engine (within reason) instead of nitpicking your car saying it was tracked.

It's interesting that compared to Subaru Canada, Toyota is charging EXACTLY $1,995 more across every model. Compared with Toyota US where there's a range of differences from $195 to $495. Obviously Toyota is fully aware of the BRZ's prices in Canada and have priced theirs accordingly. |

Has anyone been able to confirm whether Toyota Canada included the Freight / PDI in the pricing announced today?
