So today I installed the MTEC clutch spring that I got from @Tonrogs. I can't believe what a drastic difference it made in the peddle. I had hated how jerky and awful the clutch in this car felt. I had difficulty making smooth starts or shifts in this car. I've been driving a manual since I was 15 and this was by far the most annoying clutch to try to drive smoothly. I went for a drive after installing the spring and holy shit the difference. All my shifts feel normal again and you can actually feel where the clutch wants to engage. The factory spring didn't give enough feedback.
![]() I also added a Cusco radiator cap I grabbed from @ka_titties. Figured why the heck not lol. ![]() Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk Last edited by Silviacrazed; 06-13-2020 at 03:32 AM. |

Installed a mishimoto oil cooler this morning. Thanks @Louder for the cooler. Also put in a Fumoto drain valve.

Over the last couple of weeks I've installed a few other things. Added the Cusco peddle I bought off of @fc3s_johnny. I also installed the Perrin transmission support and I modified the whiteline bushing to fit the Perrin support. I picked them up from @Kinda bored tbh. That added a good bit of NVH, but the transmission doesn't move nearly as much. Today I added the Cusco engine mounts. The NVH in the car is definitely noticeable, it's honestly quite loud, but the rewards of the setup outweigh the noise for me. The car is not a DD, so I don't mind the noise. When shifting hard from first to second, the traction control light no longer flashes. Feels tighter on inputs going into corners on backroads as well. It really cleaned up the driveline slop.

Going to do a high mount third brake light. Decided to wrap the rear deck lid with black felt to give it a nice clean look.

Installed a Raceseng slammer knob and reverse lockout that I picked up from @ . It all looks brand new. The additional weight makes the shift from 1st to 2nd feel less notchy. I'll have to get used to the size of the knob, but first impression is I like it.
