Also, my guess is the outback is definitely totalled, but the 86 is right on the edge. And/or we are going to see it show up on someone's salvage thread.

We need to find this person! I need to know!

With the looks of that poor old Outback I would say that at a 75% of value repair costs ratio if they have to spend more that about $3.00 it will be totaled.

I've owned my car maybe 3 weeks at this point. I've had several compliments, but one that sticks out was when I pulled into the gas pump about a week ago. There was a man probably in his mid fifties that was looking hard at my car. He poked his head around the gas pump and told me it was a great looking car. In my mind it was looking awful. It needed a wash and I only had one of my morimoto XB Headlights in (the other is being exchanged on warranty) and I had the factory one on the other side. He asked me about it and just gushed over it. He asked me what I paid and when I told him he said he figured it must have cost 3 times that. It was just a really awesome encounter from someone who obviously isn't a huge car person, but thought the little FRS was a looker...even when she's dirty and cockeyed.

Maybe about a month ago had a guy in a late gen Mustang GT spend 6 miles of highway (basically from the moment I left the entrance ramp until I took my intended exit) trying to get me to step on it along with him, or at the very least look to my left and acknowledge him. I did neither, especially because with my luck he'd pull a car-meet-exit-fail and T-bone my car at 80mph.

Day 27 of owning the 86...

And older gentleman pulls up next to me at a light in his truck.

Old man: "Hey! That new Supra looks goooood!"
Me: "Uh, this isn't a Supra..."
Old man: "No? What is it?
Me: "An Eight Six."
Old man: "Who makes that?"
Me: "Toyota."
Old man: "Well... it still looks good!"
Me: "Thanks!"

I literally thought all of you were crazy for saying people mistake it for a Supra but now I've joined your ranks and fallen right into the trap...
