I've made it a practice to order new bolts/nuts for pretty much every install to just make life easier especially with crusty subframe pieces. Sometimes I even remember to use them!

For the traction mod install, I do recommend supporting the subframe with a jack (or a big strong friend if you're on a lift) even doing it 1 side at a time. Just to be safe and it does make it slightly easier. Not a lot of extra effort to do it that way.

I do also recommend getting the STI pillowball trailing arm to go along with this mod if you can. Certainly not required but I think it really makes the most of the change.

Cool so what's the point of loosening the two smaller bolts that connect on the body side ? I would think removing the big bolt would be enough. That bracket doesn't need to move as the traction mod connects to it.

It's not a major deal but I know one of my smaller bolts is stripped so I am hoping to not touch it lol. Else I need to get a tap/die kit along with a new bolt lol

Ah, now I see what you mean. Yeah, I don't see a need to loosen them. This installation video shows the two small bolts loosened, but when they actually install the MCA mod it doesn't seem to matter. The GP Sport mod replaces the OEM bracket so those smaller bolts have to be removed, but for the MCA mod looks like you could leave them. I'd start from just removing the subframe bolt and see if there are any issues with bolting on the MCA mod and only touch the smaller bolts if needed.

I couldn't find the STI pillowball trailing arms in stock anywhere when I did mine

I remember loosening but not removing those 2 bolts as well, not sure why I needed to but I think I did have to for some reason.

Yeah I watched that along with another video someone posted where MCA did the install for him. At least I think it was MCA lol and both time it just seemed like they over complicated the install

I am pretty sure I can get away with it I did ask MCA for instructions to see if I am missing something

Yeah that's the one. It's just the OEM arm with a nice sealed pillowball on the one end.

I think they loosen those two bolts so that if the subframe sags when you remove the big bolt it doesn’t bend the bracket or put a lot of stress on it.

Also having those two small bolts loose allows you to wiggle the bracket side to side to make sure the big bolt threads back in perfectly.

Since you have a small bolt that’s been stripped I would probably just leave it tight and make sure the subframe is strongly supported on that corner.
