I'm terrified by ski lifts. Always put the bar down and even then I'm stressed out the whole way up. Same with roller coasters. I think it comes from that time my brother pushed me out of a moving golf cart. Or I just don't like dangling from a high tension wire.

Reminds me of back in my Army days. We always flew in the Huey helicopters with the doors open. There was a strap that was stretched across the open doorways. It was always fun for one seasoned rider on the end to take up the slack in the strap and then encourage the newbie to lean out against the strap to look at something.

THEN release the slack on the strap, so that the newbie lurched forward a few inches -

(some of them didn't think it was so damn funny - )
