Help with Tire Size

Alright, so tire/wheel people I need some help with tire size. I currently have some XXR 535's on order 18x8.75 +35mm square. So I was looking at tire sizes and I originally picked 245/35 for the tires, (Kumho Ecsta XS) and after a meet the other night I am sooo second guessing myself. The problem is the stupid odd 8.75 size. I want a wide tire but I was told by multiple people that won't with those wheels. All I have to go off of is the few posts that I have found on here with the 8.75 537 people have done. Any thoughts or pics of options with the 8.75?

that size should be just fine with those wheels, but... you will notice that your car feels slower with that much tire hope you plan on some real power mods! i went with 235s which is even too much tire i think, but oh well

This is why I post this... haha thank you. might cut down to 235. I just really like the beefy looking tire. But if it slows me down that much I can manage to shred some width.

I have a set of 18x8.5 on the way and was planning on running 245/35x18 as well. Yeah it is a lot of tire but I think it will work pretty well. But only time will tell.

lol, no one will notice the 10mm of extra tire, but your butt dyno will FEEL the difference/slowness, and your speedo will be off calibration (more noticeably at higher/freeway speeds)

i'm going from stock 215 to 235, but also a lighter tire... hoping the lighter tire offsets some of the friction
