No it is an electric performance sedan.
It only ticks the "larger" engine box of all the criteria.

Now you are just...

Well, it's also primarily designed for straight line performance...

It also has 4 doors. Immediate fail on the muscle car definition.

In news that should surprise nobody, the Dodge Challenger and Charger will be killed off by 2024. New eMuscle car will go on sale around that time. There will be several special editions in the next 24.

This aligns with the rumor that the Camaro will be killed off as well in favor of a EV coupe or sedan "muscle car" model.

The next Mustang is rumored to be a standard hybrid and with an optional EV model.
This is not "news". This has been batted around since 2019. It is just plain and simple regurgitation of old rumor's accredited to "interviews".

Needs to check all the boxes not just one or two.

It's electronic white goods. Closer to a refrigerator in heritage.

I was very hopeful about the Barracuda for a couple of years. Talked to the chief designer back in 2017 and he said it was totally dead in the water and would never ever come out.

Dam, a 4-door Charger and shorter-wheelbase 2-door 'cuda with rakish styling woulda been sweet! Too bad they prefer to sell bricks

The new Dodge Charger

Good bye V8 and RWD. Hello 400 Volt 93.9 kWh battery AWD drive-train.

For 2024, two models will be offered. R/T (496HP, 317 mile range) and Scat Pack (670HP 260 mile range). Both are limited to less than 138MPH.

For 2025, it will introduce an 800 volt system plus a two speed transmissions. Accompanied by a "sixpack" ICE. These would be in the shape of the Stellantis Hurricane I-6 3.0L Twin Turbos.

I'm entirely uninterested in the car, but I applaud Dodge's approach to building the car and the way they are marketing it. It's really about time someone built a better car that happens to be an EV, rather than trying for a better EV.

I'm sure it's more fun to drive than a Tesla, but this still does nothing for me.

Why aren't the hood roof and trunk solar panels? I know it's only like 14mi a day.. but that's still 14mi per day. Especially if you work from home or in town even... Plus it would add up a lot on days you don't drive and you would never *really* be out of 'gas' just have to wait for a few hours of Sun. Just sayin..
