And TRD also immediately associated with turd. That's terdinators avatar here, I think.

Imagine if Toyota deleted GR from the 4 cyl Supra name it might reduce overall sales, otherwise why wouldn't they have?

You are not alone!
Never knew that was Korman!

I found it surprising that the Hakone comes debadged from the factory. Nothing on the rear except the Toyota emblems.

Surprising, actually. I have never heard of a mainstream car that was debadged by the factory. It shows how Toyota and/or the people involved in managing this project have been willing to do things that are different and against the mainstream, more for the individuality of the product and client. This, I believe, is one of the lessons learned from the Scion brand. Otherwise, Toyota could have become the perpetual supplier of gold Corollas (for Canada) and similar Camrys for the US.

In contrast the Impreza has a book plastered on the back!

My 2017 is the same.
Confuses the hell out of people when they don't know what it is. The circular 86 logo on the fender isn't obvious enough.

im guessing when the FRS became 86 they didnt actually have a badge to put on it.

The GT86 badge could have been used but the car isn't officially named GT86 in North America, just plain 86.
And its not an FRS anymore either so that badge wouldn't work either.

Its sort of similar with the Scion iM. Theres no Corolla badge anywhere on the car when it became the Corolla iM.

860 as well, it’s a better colour.

Yea, me neither until now, but now that I know I can't unhear it.

I did know Alan Cumming performed it in the Viva Rock Vegas live action movie, which I'm sure was the lowlight of his career.

That was a low point in the whole cast's careers!

My 2018 86 GT Black Edition also didn't come with any badging in the back. People often don't know what the car is.

My car has badging saying what it is and people still don't know what it is.
