about to purchase
I need help looking into a salvaged car with the vin number jf1znaa16d2713054. The car has been repaired and is said to be fully functional but I'm not too sure and was wondering what I should check and look out for. The car was only damaged on the rear end to my knowledge. Also, I will be bringing the car to a mechanic to get it inspected before purchasing. I'm just hoping you guys would be able to take a look at the car and vin number and tell me if anything seems fishy. Thanks!
Picture of car before repair is here http://i.imgur.com/KOhSe54.jpg already posted the same thread in the subarubrz forum but no reply, seems kind of dead so I posted here |

It would need to be an insane deal for me to consider buying a rebuilt car like this one. But if this is what you want. I would say just let your mechanic know all about the damage and he can look more into it for you. Or take it to a body shop maybe?

So then buy a Carfax.
You can run a free Vin Check here, and it comes up clean: https://www.nicb.org/theft_and_fraud_awareness/vincheck |

You should make sure your insurance company will underwrite it. I also believe the warranty is now void.

For something like this, why wouldn't you just buy your own carfax instead of asking for someone to buy one for you?
