What part to stop transmission movement
I notice over bumps that the stick shift moves around quite a bit. Which part do I need to get to reduce this movement?
Also, and this may be the same thing, I notice when accelerating hard on a kind of bumpy road, the rpm's seem to bounce around like something in the engine/transmission is bouncing. Anything to help this? Thanks! |

Perrin makes a tranny mount support that should decrease the movement.

Lateral movement - Whiteline transmission bushing Vertical - Perrin transmission mount. They can go two together if you modify the Whilteline part whihc is simple enough. |

Whiteline also has a part to help with this.
http://www.racecompengineering.com/i...t-bushing.html I'm sure I'll be needing my flame suit, but I really don't like the design of perrins take on this part. The whiteline part stiffens the stock bushing, but doesn't prevent movement, upward movement should be the same as stock. The perrin part will prevent all movement while putting a lot of stress on that small area. If you decide to use the perrin mount I would look at solid engine mounts aswell. |

I've experienced this quite a few times too, accelerating over broken pavement downtown. Very unnerving..

Me too. The amount of NVH into the cabin was a little surprising at first, but it took just a few minutes to get used to it.
