The value here seems to be insanely significant.
The 10-series lacks several of the Monogram options yet price was almost identical. The 10-series has no Nav/Bespoke, no spoiler, no leather, no heated seats/mirrors, no rear arm rest, no security system. How can this be possible? Last edited by Jertronic; 01-08-2014 at 09:44 AM. |

I wonder what the rear seat armrest is like. If it's nice, it might be a good aftermarket addition to existing cars.
I suppose it's not a bad option for someone who wants the amenities and strongly prefers FR-S / GT86 styling, although it does seem to come at a price premium over the BRZ Limited without adding anything too significant that the BRZ Limited doesn't have. It does seem like Toyota is listening to the many people on this forum who prefer FR-S styling but didn't want a barebones set of features and amenities.

With this price, there will be lot of current FR-S's owners upgrading their car to this monogram series.

That's the whole marketing strategy. Why sell you the car once when they can sell it to you twice???

Dang, I'd be pissed if I had an FR-S. Too many new upgrades and new models and the car is still only a year old. This should have all been offered from the beginning, but you know...Blaine is right...why sell you a car once when they can sell it to you twice. There will definitely be people taking a hit trying to trade their new FR-S' in for an upgraded version.

Heated leather seats and upgraded head unit w/nav are certainly nice additions for the Monogram series. And apparently scion is offering it for free, comparative to the 10-series price. I paid $28,180 for my 10-series back in July. |

IMO, if they're offering an FR-S with all of the BRZ features, it should match pricing of a BRZ Limited. If it's going to be less than a BRZ then at least make it more than a 10 Series. Doesn't seem fair to have more features than a 10 Series but be priced the same.

$1900 for all those options is a steal.
I still think the FRS should stay as a base model while this "Monogram Series" should be marketed as a Toyota GT86 if they reallly wanted to sell these cars. |

Cool - now I just need to convince the SO - with the weather we're having these days, heated seats for a daily driver would be nice
