I'm not the kind of person that buys a car and then sells it a year or two down the road so this isn't a concern of mine at all, but I do see your point. Though if I do end up selling, I'd probably just put it back to stock and sell of the aftermarket parts individually, which pretty much solves that issue. That premium you're paying for the tS is still very much subject to used car depreciation.

After watching that video, I have to ask....is the transmission shift pattern on the RHD cars the opposite of LHD cars? Is first gear on a RHD closest to the driver or in the same place as a LHD?

RHD cars usually have First top left, Second bottom left, Third centre and up, Fourth below that, etc, etc.

Sooo when are US dealers going to offer those upgraded parts on the factory warranty as optional upgrades for existing BRZ owners?...

i like modifying my car but i definitely understand the appeal in having it completely OEM. that car will sell well here. there is a surprising number of sports car enthusiasts here that stick to dealer only upgrades.

Does Tommi not have a sense of humor or something? They were blatantly facetious comments.

Tommi probably does :-) Maybe it's just me, what looks facetious to you looked more like conceited to me.

Is it me, or do those seats move/wiggle arond too much and alot more than the standard/stock seats? I've seen many forum-user's videos of them at track and autox days, and their seats never independently wiggle around that much from the chassis/body (actually, I never even notice the stock seats move in videos...but in this video, it's very apparent). Maybe those Recaro reclinable seats are just flimsy.

Tommi Makinen is probably my favorite rally driver. For anyone who doesn't know, he won the World Rally Championship 4 years in a row (almost 5 years) with Mitsubishi. He switched to Subaru at the end of his career and is now a Subaru test driver, giving them feedback on their performance cars.

Now about the car... I am sure it performs better but without also giving it a power increase, it is likely getting into boring territory. With big, super grippy tires and stiffer suspension, there is probably no chance of the rear stepping out at all. In my opinion, the car doesn't need much handling improvements - it needs powertrain improvements.

And this particular car is basically just kitted out with the aftermarket STI parts. It is not really special or unique as you could technically add everything here to your standard BRZ. The Recaro seats are also standard aftermarket Recaros with airbags. Although I do like the Brembo brakes on it.
