Valvoline two stroke with TC-W3 from autozone. It's a dark blue bottle that costs about $3.50. Wonderful stuff. Smells like shit.

I mean, mine's not organic or gluten-free, but it seems to work. Amazon has a 6 quart pack for $40, or about $6.33 each.

Holy wow! I just started using Supertech from Walmart. $1.50ish for the half quart (fits in the toolbox I have in my trunk).

I've tried using 2 oz per 10 gal. fill of the super tech TC-3W stuff and it hasn't made much of a difference (on second tank). Maybe it takes awhile . Might bump it to 3 oz per 10 gallons next time.

I've stopped using it in the FRS.

I saw no benefit. The crickets are a "tad" quieter but outside of that, no benefit.

The Van and the 25 year old racecar like it though.

The only tcw3 two cycle oil that they have at my local O'Reily's is for marine use. Is this the same stuff just labeled for marine use or is it specifically for those types of engines?

TCW-3 is the marine version of 2SO.

Don't use fully synthetic. The best all rounder is JASO - FC mineral in the lowest ash content you can get.
I think that's a European grading but whatever your version is of that.

That should be fine. It looks like semi synthetic which is alright.

If it was fully synthetic it would be expensive and well advertised.

Can anyone confirm synthetic 'blend' is not fully synthetic just to be safe?

I am also wondering this.

Also, it doesn't mention ash free.

It doesn't have to be ash free, just low in ash. The fuel produces ash too, so the tiny amount from the 2SO being added is insignificant but best to keep it as low as possible.

I think the marine 2SO might contain less detergent, if any, than the JASO - FC type that I mentioned. If that's correct then it could explain the European preference for using that type as the detergents are beneficial.

I gave the Lucas upper cylinder lubricant a try and it didn't really work. The crickets might be slightly more quiet but that could be due to a number of different things. Gonna try this soon and I'll post the results Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1424656368.075972.jpg
