Was just reminiscing over the original GT a few days ago, might have to pick up GT5 and a wheel to play with...

OK. Ordered from Amazon (Prime dawg!) and I'll have it tomorrow. So one way or another, I'll be driving an FR-S tomorrow. I prefer the real deal, but I haven't gotten the call yet.

I'll have to actually charge my controllers now since I typically just use my Harmony 900 for navigating the PS3. I was not joking about it being a glorified Bluray player.

The Menu system is so bad and poorly designed. Single player seemed like a chore. B Spec was really misguided. Actually One of the most disappointing games for me this generation. I'm stupidly picking it up again to play around with a car I already own in real life. I really need help.

Same here, I bought a PS3 and GT5 a while back pretty much just to drive the 86. GT5 is incredibly primitive compared to Forza 4, both in graphics and physics (despite what the GT5 fanboys say... sorry guys FM4 blows it out of the water)

It took me forever to figure out how to download the FR-S, install it in the PS store... then install it again in GT5?? The menu layout is mind boggling. I hate that Toyota has their hands all over the PS3. They aren't even giving the BRZ any spotlight!

Hopefully one of them will come to Forza in the near future.

Not really. I started playing it again and cbf setting up my g27, and have been beating some of my times.

Was pretty epic to get a free 86 when I logged in didn't see that coming.

So we can only have one FR-S? I would like to have multiple so that I can have different colors and configurations.

The FRS/GT86 should be on Forza by now, come on Microsoft.
Imagine all the custom paint jobs/liveries - It would be immense!

Nah once you download the free car pack then Scion will be listed as a dealer and you can buy as many FR-S as you can afford.

I like that they got the starting HP and Torque closer to the actual production car. The GT 86 had way too much in stock form but now it seems to have been corrected too. Funny that they list the FR-S at 192HP instead of 200 though.

Get an oil change and it goes up to 202 for the FRS.

I thought I've checked the dealership but didn't see Scion. I'll check again. Thanks.

So I re entered the world of GT5. I now remember why I left. The physics are so weird to me.

I feel the same way about other games coming from GT5. The physics are what you are used to in a game.

Definitely this; it all depends on which simulator you got accustomed to. How I approach this issue is when I get into a new racing game (F4 or F1 2010) I use the applied skills & techniques I learned from Gran Turismo & that usually gets me up to speed quickly; It's undeniable that the way you are taught in GT through licenses & going for gold in special events like AMG driving academy or Sebastian Loeb Rally, will teach you the fundamentals of what you can build on for IRL use or other racing games; exception being totally different arcade style games like Ridge Racer =P

Keep the GT5 vs FM4 on different thread. There's already a thread about FT5 vs FM4
