JDL 4-2-1 EL header

Got an email from JDL today. Exciting stuff!

Quote:
I'll be testing a slightly smaller diameter primary version of the header very soon here that I expect to make more torque. This will likely be the production version of the header. The header uses 15 degree merge collectors and will feature all stainless steel flanges. Retail price will be $1099. If there was enough interest I could see about some sort of group buy pricing.

@JDLAutoDesign any more info on this?

It's available for purchase. You just need to contact JDL directly.

That's not hard. Even if it's $500 more than the UEL it'll be cheaper than ACE.

On a side note, I'd like to see numbers where the car is tuned for each header. If this was on a stock tune for both the UEL would have been at a disadvantage and the difference might actually not be as large.

I don’t think it will be priced that much higher over the UEL bc of the slip joint connections.

Visually the early merge of the second collector location makes me think it would more closely compete with the Ace A150. The JDL probably needs an overpipe and the Ace includes one so that should be factored into the cost.
