I wouldn't worry about a twin scroll setup. If that's your passion then go for it, but a properly sized single scroll will get you 95% of the way to where you wanna go in terms of power and spool.

Then again, I haven't seen many of JDL's twin scroll setups, so there might be a good difference in spool time.

Also I haven't seen a good comparison on our cars.

NA. I have a ton of JDL stuff already so I've been following this kit. I'd be going with the JDL if and when i decide a turbo is in my future.

Not that it matters too much, but I'll have the UEL manifold.

Just FYI.

Was going single scroll anyways. Just wondering if down the road i decide to upgrade. I've never had a boosted car before (turbo or sc). I want the reliability sc gives.. but turbo. Lol. My car is my one and only dd so it needs to be reliable.

I like uel sound. But doesnt it affect the turbo's dynamics? Forgot where I've seen it in the forum but I read about it somewhere.

It'll affect the dynamics in a very minimal way from everything I've seen. I couldn't say what percentages exactly, but I'm guessing less than 3% difference. It's a trade off, really. UEL will give slightly better low end torque and spool but an EL will give a better flow capability on the top end.

Again, this is all super marginal and probably negligible, but theoretically that's what would change.

I would check out the AVO or Fullblown dynos with the GTX2867. Those will give you the best idea.

Well please post videos and photos once you install it!

I do plan on taking pictures of the entire install process, but that's a few months away. I still don't have everything prepped (gotta upgrade clutch), and a few parts still haven't been ordered.

I also don't even have the kit in hand yet so I can't do an inventory of all necessary fluids and hardware either.

Not a big deal. Gives me time to read up and learn. It'll all come together in due time.

Well i prefer a well documented install. It will give me an insight of how it would go and what to look for. As for myself im not gonna get a kit til maybe mid or late in the year. Just doing all my research abead of time

I'll try to get as much detail as I can, but I assume JDL has a decent set of install instructions up front. Other than that I'm basing my install nuances off of another 86 guy in my area that has more experience in this process.

We'll see how it goes.
