Well there you go, I would’ve thought the 86 was bigger being a 2 plus 2, not by much, but bigger. Interesting.

That is because it is taken from an angle that people actually see. 99% of car pics are taken from about 14 inches off the ground witch give a radially difference perspective.

Even new 2021 ones - need to order, and if you do not want "Premium", wait a month or two. But Premium price $56-58K is not as good deal as $52K MSRP for "Standard" 3.0. Plus Toyota now has $1500 discount from that.

Compare that with Z4 that starts at $63K.
2021s are available everywhere. The dealer right by my house has 3, 2 of which are premiums.

A quick search on autotrader shows over 1,000+ available right now but of course some of those are ordered cars that don't exist on the lot yet.

Congrats on the swap, hope the BMW treats you well!

Yeah the Supra is a tiny bit bigger overall than the 86, but they're both small.
The 86 feels bigger on the inside, and thats not because of the rear seat. Everything feels a little bit more enclosed in the Supra.

Congratulations on the new purchase. I personally do not like the new Supra at all, but totally in love with the previous generation. I'm old school this way.

Surprisingly dimensions are almost the same, but Supra weights over 500 pounds more. It is not as easy toss it around like BRZ, but almost 2 times more horses under the hood compensate for that. I actually like Supra's brakes more - they feel as good as in Mazda RX-8 I had before BRZ. I always felt that BRZ brakes are somewhat weaker than they should be even using TRD pads.

Supra though not cheap, is a good deal - you are getting BMW Z4 with hard top for $10K less than original. Even my wife agreed with that.
Pictures or it did not happen!

I just sold mine . But I've got a mini me on the way so I'm getting a Golf Sportwagen 4Motion 6spd. I'll come back to this platform someday. Also not to far from you. I'm in Montclair, and my best friend lives in Skillman.

I have a VW sportwagen 5sp that I got for that reason - needing space for the 3 kids and all the junk needed for skiing etc. I picked up an SUV a couple years ago for that task so I’ve been itching to get something sportier. Had an STI prior to the sportwagen and a 2002 Celica GTS prior to that. Loved the Celica the most with the exception of the front wheel drive and the open diff. . Looking to order the new BRZ86 when it comes out, which seems to solve all the celica’s shortcomings. Loved the celica’s hatchback tho.
