You will have to ask @Cole for a picture.

It looks something like something a bored 5 year old would do, locked in his fathers car, with a handful of stickers .......

It's an excellent skill.

Plus, that class taught me how to sew by hand and machine, a skill that came in handy more than once in the military.

After doing long ruck marches, and settling down in the biv sites, I'd religiously get my sewing kit out, thread a needle, then put the needle through my blisters and leave the thread in overnight. Guess who didn't complain about blisters the next morning? Not to mention, I can hem my own dress pants, let out my dress pants and suit jackets, do minor repairs on clothing and if I'm in the mood, I could go out to the fabric store and make my girlfriend a one off purse.

It ended up being a very useful skill, even if it is underused nowadays.
Well, you have a point there.

I learned to sew by sewing up sacks of grain on a combine.

Yep, it was hot in July when the wheat ripened. The top of the combine was just over the thrashing header so it was dusty. With sweat pouring off my brow, I feverishly filled and sewed up the sacks of grain that weighed almost as much as I did ...... then kicked them into the shoot.

If I fell behind, my Dad had to stop the combine, which would make him mad ....... if a sack of grain broke open, guess who was down on their hands and knees at the end of the day, scooping up the grain with his hands .. ??

As far as the Army and blisters, after spending my childhood running barefoot 9 months out of the year ...... no combat boot could blister my feet........ hooah

I'm not against learning on how to sew ........ but don't they have better things to teach in HS other than "fashion" (or sewing) ..... ??

Heck, I was good with one of these ......till my mother wouldn't let me use it anymore cause I was breaking too many needles ..... trying to sew leather ....

I tried using a treadle once. It wasn't bad. I could see where it's almost better than a motor drive. More control.

We now have my mom's Rex. It's an 11-155R in much better shape than the three examples I could find online.

I'm a computer tech at a school district. One of the campuses that I work at is one of those early college type campuses. Students can earn college credit or if they are determined enough walk out with an associates. Some of the programs they offer are diesel mechanic, welding, and manufacturing.

Here's the kicker they have one class there that doesn't fit in. It's a floral class, the kids make fake floral arrangements. The room is scattered with piles of fake flowers and that green styrofoam.

That's cool. You don't need to like it. Hell, I don't even know if I'll like it once it comes in, so I'm looking forward to the finished product as well.

Removed my clutch helper spring and swapped my Scion badges for Toyota badges. Steering wheel still says scion, unfortunately you have to replace the whole airbag to get the 86 logo.

Interested to hear your feedback on the pieces quality wise, install difficulty etc. Been looking to get a few things from them possibly
