Excess Pulley Movement
Has anyone on here experienced pulley movement like in the video below. I had my car serviced for an oil leak by the timing chain cover. After the fix, I felt my car was significantly louder during idle. Seems like something is not tidied up here. Just need to compare to some other FRS/BRZ. Is the pulley shaking excessively compared to yours? Your input is much appreciated.

That's normal bud. The idler pulley. You're not the first to question it.

Thanks guys. I wondered if everyones shakes like this. My coworker who has an frs had some movement but not as much as mine. I wonder if this has anything to do with my idle dropping off and if timing can be modified to reduce shakiness.

If it happens with the AC/defrost off then there is a service bulletin to update the tune provided your car is a 2013/2012 build. |
