P117B fuel system probelm with Vortech supercharger kit

I installed Vortech Supercharger a few monthes ago. After that there were some idling problems back the forth. CEL showed a few times and I did idle relearned(disconnect batttery) to removed the code. I was too busy to go back to the tuner's shop to check the problem. The car ran just ok. Every time when I reset the battery, the CEL would not show within 1000-2000 miles.

Last time when I reset the battery. The CEL came back after just 200 miles. Code P1072, P117B and 1170 .

So I went to EFI Logics (they tune the car for me initially) to re-tune my car and erase the 1072 code. And as the tuner told me, the 1170 code is the same thing as 1072 code. The system run rich and it was fixed by a re-tune. Now the CEL is off.

For the 117B code, the tuner told me that it is for either direct injector or high pressure oil pump. And they have no idea how to fix the issue.

I got the new tune map. The map only showed 1-6000rpm. As the tuner said when the car go over 6000rpm, the fuel system can not supply enough fuel so the system run lean. That's why the map did not show 6000rpm-7400rpm. It is for either direct injector or high pressure oil pump. The tuner told me that once the fuel system is fixed I dont have to retune the car.

I have driven the car for 1 month after it was re-tuned. I did not go over 6000rpm so the car is fine so far. No CEL, no code. But the tuner told me that once I go over 6000rpm the system will run lean and CEL might shows.

Has anyone have any suggestion on this? Have you ever seen a similar problem on a FRS/BRZ? The car has aroung 49k miles on it.

Thank you!

DI control unit earthed correctly? That seems to cause issues like this. Never cancel a DTC code unless a last resort as you're likely just masking issues.

Thank you!
I think if the DI unit was not earthed correctly, the car will not be ok in low rpm (under 6000rpm) right?

high pressure fuel pump code goes off if the engine cranks 5 strokes without a start i think...

are you running E85? if yes then you need a bigger pump and injectors. If not i'd bring it to @Mike@motoeast. He'll fix it

No
If you dont have the DI computer bolted to earth (one under bonnett) then all sorts of weird stuff happens

DI supplies between 20 and 50 % of the fueling on the standard pi/di split

You should never drive a car that has a known issue and just remove battery to remove CEL. Doing so can cause further issues and can get costly for you.

There is a fueling problem with your car, (which is made worse because of the S/C which creates boost as long as the engine spins), I'd recommend you don't drive the car anymore than to a shop that will fix it before doing anything else with the car.
