Manual is also faster...

But there is nothing about this that makes it a good comparison.

Is it really necessary to make a video to communicate a simple thought today? I think this Youtube thing is catching on. We live in the clickbait economy!

For normal driving, true. For spirited drives in the hills, more fun.

I have very little opportunity to do performance shifting and driving on my commute. Every mile driven is not 10/10 and all out speedracer. I have been driving for 45 years and yes the normal everyday drive is mondain even with a MT. If you are talking performance driving I am in total agreement but how many of these things actually get driven that way on a day to day basis (unless by some asshat that thinks the street is his track)?

I have proper rev matching every time I downshift, and if I really want I can do heel/toe braking, just isn't necessary.

I'm in the same boat as @Tcoat. I can own and drive either, just made a choice on the AT because never owned a paddle shifter before. Drove both before buying and liked manual mode enough to pay the extra money.

It's all good either way to me.

IDK, the manual way is a lot cheaper for both also

It is nice to own cars in both flavors.

How are you any better with your "AT better than MT" mindset? You are a pot calling the kettle black.

Enjoy your paddles friend-o.

Call me an asshat all you want but there are plenty of places where I can drive 7/10 without putting others in harm if I were to make a mistake. Going back and forth between cars in and out of traffic... I agree, lame. But it really isn't that hard to bust out of the mundane drive without going to a track or autox. But you don't even have to drive it like you stole it to downshift as you come to a stop. You don't need to be an asshat to exit the interstate, downshift through all the gears and come to a complete stop at the end of the ramp.

But anyways, to each their own. I just get sick of the arrogant attitude some have about how your an ignorant caveman because you happen to find a manual more fun.

Simple.. in his eyes it is a FACT that AT is better than MT. Everyone who "prefers" a manual is just a delusional caveman who doesn't know what is best for them.

Technically I could still do that in my AT fwiw

There is no right answer. Drive the one that puts a smile on your face and fuck everything else.
