First time setting up the sync and stuff. It wasn't too difficult and turned out ok. |

Also, I'd like to point out that the desktop application is free. The free version is only good for 3 minute clips, doesn't have all of the options for all of the gauges, and leaves a logo in the upper right corner. For an autox this works out great. For a track day you might have to render separate videos for each lap and then edit them together in another program (http://racerender.com/Products/index.html)
I used a cheap bluetooth obd ii device and "torque pro" on my phone to record the other stuff. The syncing things up takes a few minutes to figure out. Basically you move the data timeline around until it matches what you see on screen. I found that using the location got me roughly to where I should be and then looked at the RPMs to get it even closer. It will take data from a lot of different sources and can figure out what some of it means on its own. If you have a better gps receiver you could also import that as a data source. So, once the romraider logging is good this can get even better (Though, that would mean investing in a tactrix device for me.) I will be trying this out in a few weeks with a track day. I'll let you know/see how it goes. |
