Anyone else noticed this, or is it another thing I point to my dealer.

Issues thus far:
- Blinkers randomly speed up, and sometimes just don't work at all.
- Homelink mirror garage buttons dont work (no power)
- Squeaky seats while driving (cold weather)
Have you checked whether it's had a tune? You never know someone may have uploaded a dodgy tune, instead of speeding up the engine it has given you speedy blinkers..

Can you make a recording?

It doesn’t do it consistently and it’s pretty brief as the rpm passes that certain point. Plus, I don’t think I have a good enough recording device to capture it well. Let me see if I can get the car to do it while stationary (fewer other noise and easier to record by myself).

No software update for my car, and I've had it since mid November.

I'm annoyed by the 5000 song limit on a usb drive. Seems to be a common Subaru problem. Anyone familiar with a work around? I've got 11000 odd songs, but it only loads the first 5000 alphabetically.

Get a 2nd USB drive, cheap easy fix, also holy damn you have alot of tunes lol. Another option depending on your phone is to add an SD in there with all of your music on it. Then Apple Carplay/Android Auto should work for that. In my Mazda 3 I run all my music off my phone and Bluetooth it to the car, without Android Auto. There is the odd glitch from time to time but I find with electronics that seems to be par for the course.

11,000 songs!

At this point you should also think about an iPod classic. They sell quad micro SD adapters for them and you can easily have 512gb (or more) storage on them.

I'm pretty sure the car also supports iPod mode so you can connect them with USB and control the iPod through the car and get better quality audio.

No software update on the headunit yet for me either. Still seems to work pretty much fine, but still <500 miles so far.

Bought it new with 5 miles, no tunes available for the 2022s. Blinker issue is apparently rather widespread, and initial thoughts are that its a bad ground.

I'll try formatting the usb drive as NTFS, and see if that gets around the limit. If not, might just pare it down to 5000 on the key.

Unfortunately my phone doesn't have an sd card slot. I'd keep using bluetooth, but i'm having a lot of dropped connections unfortunately. I also find plugging in my phone everytime annoying, but i'll just get in the habit of doing it.

NTFS formatting didn't help with the usb stick - still a 5000 song limit.

Damn, that's disappointing. My Focus doesn't have a limit on the number of tracks, but over 12,500, the voice commands don't work so I keep it around 12k and everything works great. Can pull up any artist, album or track with voice commands within a few seconds and it works well.

Going to have to try something different with the BRZ I suppose.

Had the blinker issue once, then about two weeks ago my gear indicator turned itself off. The seat squeaks a bit but so did my first gen.
