Smells to me like a classic off-by-one error.

Huh. Vaccination required to go into the office, and starting in March, w/o an exemption health insurance premium will be higher for those not vaccinated.
Doesn't help the fact that the commute is the highest risk here, but still interesting.

I think he was referring to the 181 days, as opposed to 180. A common error in information systems is starting at 1 vs starting at 0.
In this case, the +1 day is probably added because it is 180 days starting the day after the person got their last shot, though the last shot is recorded on the day of. What difference does it make in the real world, probably none, but they gotta draw the line somewhere I suppose. |

Somehow I don’t think he died on his feet. Come to think of it, not sure he lived on his knees even.

There are countless numbers around us who have, for reasons I still find incomprehensible, promoted snake oil and bullshit as treatments.
It's ironic - in a very real sense they are responsible for the deaths of people like this guy. But neither we nor their victims will ever hear them apologize.

He was already given a death sentence, and basically had all treatment stopped as he was deemed a lost cause just prolonging the inevitable. So the wife was desperate for one final hail mary. Not sure how that makes it responsible for his death...

So here's my Covid experience:
At my work, fully vaccinated employees are not required to test weekly, where as non vaccinated employees are 1-2x/wk, depending on the positive rates within the county. I tested on Wed and Fri (12/1 and 12/3), both of which were negative. 2 other therapists (both fully vaccinated) tested positive for covid Monday (12/6). One called out sick that morning, another came in and wasn't feeling good by mid morning, so left and got tested. I felt fine. I woke up Tuesday (12/7) morning not feeling quite right. I always kept an at home test on hand for these instances so I could test before going in and potentially exposing patients. My test came back positive. Had a temp of 100.5, with 96% O2 and 115 resting HR. Went to a clinic for another test to verify, which also was positive. Took acetaminophen 2x/day (500mg) with lots of vitamins and fluids. Wednesday was the worse day, feeling nauseous in the morning and throwing up at one point. Though, I largely think that was from one of the vitamins that I took on an empty stomach. My temp varied from 98.6ish to 100.4ish aside from one spike on Wednesday of 101.5, which went back down after acetaminophen. I had a tele health appointment with a Dr (not my usual Dr, as he was booked for 3wks) and he recommended Hydroxychloroquine, and that 95% of his Pt's that he's seen and prescribed it to did very well, with only two having mild symptoms (increased fatigue and dry mouth). I declined as I felt my symptoms were very mild and didn't warrant the need for something like that, with the potential side effects that include arrythmia, as I had already had issues with that throughout the first half of this year. He recommended he could also prescribe Ivermectin or Z Pack, but it was up to me. By Saturday, I'd say that I felt about 75% back to normal, with my only symptoms being general fatigue, some muscle aches, and a sore throat. Lost my sense of smell on Saturday, though no other symptoms surfaced after that. I'd say I feel about 90% right now. Both of my other co workers (fully vaccinated) are both feeling better as well and are just wanting to go back to work. Similar symptoms to me; faituge, cough, and loss of smell/taste. The worse symptom I had was just a pounding headache that lasted from Tuesday morning until Thursday evening/Friday morning. Otherwise, all is well. Resting HR in the 70s-80s, OR still 97% and higher, temp in the low-mid 98s. I'm still at home until no earlier than Friday. Then I can go back, assuming my test is negative and have no lingering symptoms.
