Bad battery

In for my second oil change and have been informed that my battery was close to death. Warranty covered the battery replacement but if you have starting issues, check your battery. 9000 miles and 9 months on the car.

They should check for a small current draw at the dealer.

Sometimes things are on when they are suppose to be off.

For example a rear seal valet light or a light in the trunk. They are suppose to be off when the doors are closed but one could be on.

In this case the FRS has neither but something else could be on drawing power.

The service department did not mention testing current or the alternator. I will be keeping my eye on this and will update and details develop. I have an ODBII reader and Tourqe Pro and I will see if it has any voltage details I can get to.
