Hmm I just updated to 8.2 and still taking a while... I'll leave it for a bit and see if it eventually loads. I was on 8.0 and I was able to load my other file I captured last week (since been removed from OFT).

Alright, a quick question. I couldn't find the solution from searching for some reason.
@steve99, my friend has been using OFT for awhile. He never had to install the manager program since he just flashed the stage 2 map and was done with it. He just installed the powerblocks on his car and received the tune for it via email.

How do you install the OFT manager on his Mac? I read about doing it on PC but couldn't find a link for Mac.

Thanks!

*I don't know since I'm windows*

But could you just run a Virtual windows machine, install Open Flash Manager and do it that way?

Ah, got it! I'll PM Shiv..

Thank you!

Maybe I should just bring my PC laptop and do it for him real quick. It's pretty simple, right? Just install the program, load up the new tune, transfer it on the device, and reflash ecu?

- your friendly forum IT guy.
So should I install the Windows 8 patch while running Windows 10?

Tip in knock or exhaust rattle?

Here is a log I took after (re-re-re)installing a somewhat ill-fitting front pipe (j2 70mm) that doesn't have provisions for the stock doughnut gasket.

http://datazap.me/u/solidone/fp-no-o...=0&data=1-5-12

As you can see, a stupid amount of knock at tip-in and upon throttle closure.

Here's another log I took after having really torqued down the catback to front pipe connection.

http://datazap.me/u/solidone/tip-kno...=0&data=1-5-12

tip-in knock still present. I checked all the connections for leaks and was not able to locate any.

Now, I recall a long while ago there was some discussion about "phantom knock" on these boards. After having taken these logs, I'm suspicious of the vibrations in the exhaust system upon sudden load increase during low RPM operation being mistaken for engine knock by the ECU. What are your thoughts?

Exclamation Checksum HELP!

Is it normal to get a "The checksum of the file has been corrected" message when uploading new BIN files?

I tried with and without the Windows 8 patch on a fresh Windows 10 PC but as I have never uploaded before I don't know if I should be seeing that message

HELP!

To scared to go any further and so want to try the new ROMS!
