I have seen the newer Cayman 982 and as a baseline target it is now far far away. Even Cayman 981c was already away. These guys were taking the last 5 years the right decisions. From my point of view the twins are going now their own way.

According to Moto it is different it's supposedly the sunrise yellow from the TS. Which is different than the Rs1.0.

In terms of the color, we spoke with SOA lead Marketing representative. He states that this is more closely related to the special edition Yellow crosstek from a year ago than the FRS. We will need to stand by to confirm, but from my own eyes the yellow on the BRZ is lighter than a FRs RS 1.0

Thanks! Later today I'll post up more vids and write my own observations since I might be able to give a lot of info from seeing both the BRZ and 86 prototype include being inside them

Good to hear - a nice lemon yellow please! Love the hue on the seats.

Just like you said, for Autox, you upgrade pads & fluid, you'll be upgrading the tires as well. For Toyota/Subaru, why upgrade the tires and bump up the price more, when owners will upgrade to their own fav right after they buy it.

Or the majority of buyers will never "upgrade" because they are just driving the car as a car and have no clue that tires aren't just tires.

Not gonna deny that & most of those owners like the car the way it is. If they feel lack something, most of the time, they will not buy it to begin with.

Yep. Or like you said they already have a favorite/recommended tire that they plan on changing to.

Can someone explain the reasoning for upgrading brakes for Autox duty? You're never gonna generate enough heat to warrant a braking hardware upgrade for Autox'ing, seems pretty pointless to me. I can see the benefit in switching to a pad that has different bite characteristics, but stock braking hardware is more than up to the task for whatever any Autox track can throw at it. It would take a pretty pathetic braking setup to not be able to handle 1-2 hard stops over the course of 50 seconds.

You do understand "Sunrise Yellow" is C2Z Yuzu right ?

Color Description: C2Z Sunrise Yellow or Yuzu (Scion).
The RS 2.0 is called "Lunar Storm" by Scion but Subaru calls the same color "Desert Khaki".

If it's a different color from the RS 1.0 it's not Sunrise Yellow.

You'll be amazed how much heat generate in Autox. Correct, it doesn't generate as tracking, but it generate way more than you think. At my regional match tour 2yrs ago, my stock pads heated up so much, afternoon session pads were pretty much useless... But we're talking bout outside temp of 115~120 with +150 ground temp.

Changing characteristic of braking is another thing, but maintaining main initial bite is important.

Ya, I can't imagine them having a bunch of different yellows. Most likely all the same paint but different names and possibly different codes.
